Hello, this is V from the Stuffed Zoo, and today I’m going to tell you about my adventure in the dangerous Throwacian Jungle of the Stuffed Animal World, and how I found Gomer the Stuffed Gorilla Tossing Toy!

It started like this: Me and my fellow Acquisitioners, well, times were tough (with the economy and everything) and we were hard up for cash. Finn and I sipped our coffees at the folding card table in the Stuffed Zoo warehouse one morning, and all I wanted to do was finish my coffee and read the Stuffed Animal Quarterly, but Finn kept hammering at some new device or other and shaking the table. Coffee from both of our cups splashed onto my paper. “Can’t you get your own table?” I half-shouted in annoyance.

“Sure I can get my own table!” Finn said, “Just as soon as I cut your pay in half! I can barely make payroll here, and now is not the time to splurge on a new card table. From now on it’s instant coffee and powdered creamer, buddy!”

I think Finn might have continued on that way for a while, but I didn’t notice his lecture because something in the Quarterly caught my eye: There’s Gold In Them There Hills. Intrigued, I read the article. It said that a relatively newly discovered hillside jungle in the Stuffed Animal world called the “Throwacian” jungle had been rumored to contain massive quantities of gold. Intrigued, I showed Finn the article, and he was all too happy to send me out to try and find a cut of the goods for the Stuffed Zoo.

That’s how I ended up hacking my way through the dense, sweltering Throwacian jungle at noon while mosquitoes squeezed themselves through my full-body netting to bite me. After an hour or two of heavy machete work, I was exhausted, so I sat down on a rock near the river that flowed down the hill and through the jungle.

Just as I was beginning to regain some of my strength, I heard a deep voice call out to me from the trees on the other side of the river: “OOH OOH!” it said.

“Ooh ooh yourself, silly monkey. Leave me alone, I’m looking for gold.”

I was just about to get up and continue on my way, ignoring the stuffed monkey in the tree, when I heard it say, “OOH OOH! Me Gomer. Me know where gold!”

“What? You know where the gold is?”

On a distant branch I could see the tiny stuffed gorilla jumping up and down in excitement. “Gold. Me. Follow. OOH OOH!” he said.

I could tell this was going to be a long day.
