Mysterious Stranger Drops Off Suli the Baby Stuffed Seal
Hello, this is Laurie from the Stuffed Zoo letting you know about Suli the Baby Stuffed Seal, who was dropped off at our warehouse by a Mysterious Stranger wearing a black mask and a top hat! We don’t know who he is, but he showed up on our security tapes, giving the camera a thumbs-up.
Suli came to us in a wicker basket, wrapped in a blanket so only her big black eyes were showing from beneath when I carefully lifted a corner of the blanket to see what was inside. As soon as Suli saw me, she jumped out of the basket and onto my shoulder, and happily began to bark!
It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Suli kept us entertained here at the Stuffed Zoo by running off with our pencils when we were trying to fill an order, or she’d get ahold of one of Finn’s (our resident mad scientist) devices, turn it into a disco ball or a fog machine, and grab us with her flippers to dance amidst the myriad shelves and boxes of the Stuffed Zoo.
Suli has been here with us for about a week now, but we didn’t know anything much about her past until today, when Jane asked her, “Hey, Suli, y’know you didn’t really say where you’re from! Why don’t you open up a bit?” For the first time since she jumped from that basket, the habitual smile left Suli’s face.
“Awww, Jane, you don’t really wanna hear,” Suli said.
Jane was packing a box full of bubble wrap while she talked. “Of course I do, Suli! You’re like family here–hello!”
“I come from a garbage dump.”
“WHAT?!?” Jane and I exclaimed in unison.
“Well guys, it’s kind of a long story…”
