Owl Eats Harry Potter - V:Mission 2 Episode 18
Circling the clearing a couple of times I finally pick up the start of the trail back to the truck. The uneven ground makes pushing the dolly hard work.
I set the dolly up one more time and re-tape the flashlight to point toward the back of the dolly. It’s not great but it allows me to pull the dolly instead of push it which makes a huge difference with each root and pothole I hit (and I don’t think I’ve missed a single one.)
Dinu and I bob and weave back through the forest path toward the truck. I’m sweating profusely and Dinu is ominously silent. We continue on as fast as I can manage in the strange dark silence. The flashlight’s beam swings to illuminate the path and then dodges back, almost as though it’s afraid of what it saw.
Finally I see what appears to be a bright spot ahead. It continues to get brighter and larger with each step. As I break through into the clearing I feel a huge relief. “We made it,” I think to myself. “Now I just need to get Dinu in the truck and to his friend’s house,” my brain processes as I break into the fastest pace I can manage with such a huge man in tow.
Just before I get to the truck I see him. Sitting on frame that surrounds the back of the truck is Horatiu. He’s watch every step I take. Clearly it’s time to stop as I figure out what to do next.
