Owl Eats Harry Potter - V:Mission 2 Episode 16

Posted June 5th, 2008 by V

“Thanks Zoe!” I say, scrambling over to the first aid kit.

I quickly rip open the cellophane wrapper and look to see what items I have available that might help.  I scoop up the bottle of iodine, some gauze pads and tape before returning to Dinu.

My first aid skills aren’t the strongest and I start to realize that for my new line of work I might want to buff them up.  “Okay Dinu, this might hurt some but I’ve got some supplies to help.”

“Where did they come from?” Dinu asks.

“The Stuffocator.” I respond.

“The guard was wrong.  The Stuffocator is much better than a weapon” and then he emits some sounds that are supposed to be the famous Dinu chuckle but the pain is too great.

I squirt the iodine liberally on Dinu’s gashed forehead.  He doesn’t seem to respond so either it doesn’t hurt or Dinu is slipping into unconsciousness.

Next I open the gauze pads and place 3 of them in a line covering the gash.  Then I take the tape and outline the pads.  It barely sticks so I decide I need more tape.  The only thing I can think of is to circle the tape over the pads and under Dinu’s chin.

I make several loops like this and Dinu winces each time the tape touches the gauze pads.

Finally I’m finished and I step back to admire the work.  It looks horrible but the blood seems to be slowing down considerably.  Now what…

Just then the Stuffocator erupts again with a voice.  “How’s it going V?  Is Dinu okay?” asks a concerned Zoe.

“I’m not sure.  I wish I knew more first aid.  I’m taking a class when I get back.  I think I got the blood stopped but I’m not sure what to do next.  Any ideas?” I ask.

Zoe was clearly thinking about her next response.
