Owl Eats Harry Potter - V:Mission 2 Episode 14
I use the flashlight to search for the latch that opens the barn door. Giving it a solid tug the door opens easier than I expect and slams with a thud into a door stop. The meadow lawn is still shimmering silver in the moonlight.
I grab Dinu below his shoulder and we stumble together into the meadow. I can feel something wet and sticky on the hand supporting Dinu. I shine the flashlight on it and see blood. Using the flashlight, I find the source…a large gash on Dinu’s forehead.
Amazingly, Dinu is chuckling again, “I guess the owl is shy. She didn’t appear to like the limelight.” Then more chuckling that is clearly masking pain.
“We better get you some help. Let’s get back to the car. Can you walk?” I ask.
“Sure, sure. Just give me a minute to catch my breath.” Dinu says.
I’m getting very worried. There’s a 10 minute walk to get to the car presuming I don’t get lost in the darkness. If Dinu needs to be carried I’m sunk. He clearly out weighs me by nearly a hundred pounds.
“Let’s see if we can get the blood to stop.” I say as I take off my shirt and rip off a sleeve.
Dinu releases a low gasp as I apply pressure to the wound. “I think Horatiu likes me. We got very close.” This time the chuckles are short and incomplete as if being strangled by the pain.
I can feel fear creeping through me as I contemplate what to do next.
